YA Scavenger Hunt
Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors...and a chance to win some awesome prizes! On this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize--one lucky winner will receive one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 120 hours!

I am a part of the BLUE TEAM--but there is also a red team, a gold team, a green team, a purple team, and a pink team for a chance to win a whole different set of books! Directions: Below, you'll notice that I've listed my favorite number. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the blue team, and then add them up (don't worry, you can use a calculator!).
Entry Form: Once you've added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.
Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by DATE, at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

In the vein of Flatliners and Ghost meets The Bourne Identity and La Femme Nikita, a diverse team of black ops “Spectres”―elite soldiers who died in the line of duty only to be reanimated by military scientists and brought back as actual ghosts―carry out illicit missions for the United States government in exchange for day passes to haunt their old lives and fulfill their unfinished business. Spectre Deep 6 is a paranormal sci-fi graphic novel that centers on six reanimated spectres who have the tactical precision and paranormal abilities to carry out the most important and clandestine missions for our government. Oh, and ghost soldiers can get a bit … testy. They don’t always get along or follow orders. After all, they didn’t ask to be brought back.

About the process for creating the story about images for SPECTRE DEEP 6: The rich world and characters demanded a lot from us! There was so much design to this entire book. From the tech to the characters to the world they all live in, everything was put together very mindfully. Spectre Deep 6 is a character-driven story, so some of our favorite things to create and draw from this book have been the character acting and dialogue. We have so many moments from tender to funny to terrifying to tragic, and it's been such a ride developing them all for a huge ensemble cast of six ghost soldiers. We're putting out fresh, wild, and fun takes on the science fiction genre and turning it on its ear. We had such a blast creating this story and bringing it to life—we can’t wait to share it with the world next spring!
